Digital Sky Survey (DSS)
An extremely large dataset consisting of the scanned images from the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey and several other sky surveys, compressed to fit on 100 CD-ROMs. RealSky is a version of the DSS that has been compressed still further, allowing it to be stored on fewer CDs at the cost of some image quality.
