    face

The front part of the head, bordered by the hairline and the chin, and consisting of the eyes, nose, mouth, ears, forehead, cheeks, and jaw. The face is particularly concerned with sensibility and communication; it bears the special sense organs of vision, hearing, smell, taste, and balance, as well as an especially sensitive skin. Voice and facial expression (fine facial movements) are mediated via the face. Neck mobility allows these organs to be directed quickly and easily toward an object without turning the body.
