andromonoecious

In botany, andromonoecious means having hermaphrodite (bisexual) and male flowers on the same plant. Andromonoecious plants can have an advantage in reproduction as they are able to produce both male and female gametes, allowing for self-fertilization, or cross-fertilization with other nearby plants. This trait can also be advantageous in plant breeding programs, as it allows for greater control over the genetic makeup of offspring. Examples of andromonoecious plants include the squash and cucumber.
