Committee on Planetary and Lunar Exploration (COMPLEX)
Committee on Planetary and Lunar Exploration (COMPLEX) is a panel of scientists from various US universities, chaired by John A. Wood of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, which advises the Space Science Board on issues related to the exploration of the solar system. It is currently engaged in two projects: (i) reviewing the status of knowledge about Europa in the light of the Galileo mission with a view to recommending a strategy for further exploration of this moon, and (ii) reviewing the technology available for exploring the atmosphere and surfaces of solar system objects.
