flip-flop
A traditional (simple) flip-flop circuit based on bipolar junction transistors.
A flip-flop, also called a bistable circuit, is an electronic circuit that can be in either of two stable states. Much used in computers,a flip-flop changes state when it receives an electric pulse. It can be used as a one-bit storage device, and is employed in delay elements (which store a signal briefly before transferring it to an output line.)
