A thermistor is a semiconductor device the electrical resistance of which falls rapidly as its temperature rises. At 20°C the resistance may be of the order of a thousand ohms and at 100°C it may be only 10 ohms. Thermistors are used as sensors in electronic circuits measuring or regulating temperature and also in time-delay circuits.
