coda
A coda is a closing section of a musical work or movement, added to give the composition a stronger sense of finality. An Italian word meaning "tail", it describes, for example, the final sections in the sonatas of Mozart and Beethoven, although its origin lies in the Baroque era. It is also used in modern popular music to reinforce the sense of closure after the tonic triad is regained.
A codetta is a very short coda.
