The term 'horn' may be applied to any wind instrument, such as a trumpet, a trombone, or a saxophone.

 

It may also be applied specifically to the brass instrument more correctly called the French horn.

 

The horn section is (i) the section of a jazz band that includes brass and woodwind instruments, or (ii) in an orchestra, a group of French horns.
