National Optical Astronomy Observatories
National Optical Astronomy Observatories (NOAO) is a group of optical observatories run by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy under contract to the US National Science Foundation. Formed in 1984, with headquarters in Tucson, Arizona, NOAO has responsibility for four sites: the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory, the Gemini Observatory, Kitt Peak National Observatory, and the National Solar Observatory.
