Ørsted (satellite)
Ørsted is a Danish microsatellite designed to map Earth's magnetic field, measure the charged particle environment, and study auroral phenomena. Data from the mission complement those collected by Magsat. The spacecraft is named after the Danish physicist Hans Christian Oersted (1777–1851) who discovered electromagnetism in 1820.
