Baritone is the male voice type intermediate in pitch between the tenor (above) and the bass (below). The baritone range extends from approximately the second G below middle C to high G sharp. The voice quality is weightier and richer than that of the tenor. Types of baritone include light, lyric, dramatic, and Verdi.

Baritone is the most common male range. A deep baritone may be called a bass baritone.
